New offerings!

Tom prides himself on keeping up to date on the latest agricultural practices as well as challenging himself each season to try new varieties of produce to offer at our farm stands.
  • Last season we ordered in cocktail tomatoes and found them to be a huge success. This year we will be growing our own!  We will still be offering our famous orange cherry tomatoes as well as our many varieties of traditional tomatoes.
  • For a splash of fun color in your salads, we are growing rainbow radishes.  They will be bunched together in a variety of colors, with the same crisp taste as the traditional red radishes that you love.
  • Brussel sprouts is the next new addition to our repertoire. These sweet "mini cabbages" are delicious roasted in the oven with olive oil and Parmesan cheese or simply steamed with some salt and pepper.
  • For a number of seasons we have been asked to grow a large baking potato and we are happy to say that Tom has finally found a variety of Russet potatoes that he wants to grow.  We will still be offering our Yukon Gold  and Red Bliss potatoes as well.

You may have noticed that this winter we built an addition to the farm stand in Winthrop as well as  upgraded our parking lot.  We did these renovations to accommodate our growing customer base.  The addition has allowed for more space to display our produce, baked goods, and dairy products, while allowing for more space for customers to browse inside the farm stand.  Our parking lot is now better equipped for more customers to enter and safely park and shop.

As always, we are devoted to our customers and value your feedback.  If you have any ideas about improvements that we can make or new produce you would like us to offer, please let us know! We will see you all in a couple of months, and be sure to keep checking our blog as we make updates about our progress at the farm.

Spring 2012 on the Farm

Remember those farm fresh veggies from last year? We have been hard at work in our greenhouses since February to make sure we have plenty of ripe produce for you to enjoy when our farm stands open in June.

The sign up for the Veggie Club has started and will run through May.  This is your chance to sign up for our Community Supported Agriculture program that is run through both of our farm stands.  Here is more information, and if you wish to sign up, please email us at stevensonfarms@myfairpoint.net for more information and an application.

How Does the Veggie Club Work?

The Veggie Club is set up like a Community Supported
Agriculture (CSA) program where club members buy shares,
pre-paying for their veggies before the season begins. As a
member, you will receive a sign-on bonus and be eligible for member only specials throughout the season.  You will choose
your share size (family $250 or single $125) and designate at
which stand you would like to pick up your produce  (Rte. 202 Winthrop or Rte. 219 Leeds).  There are no product restrictions
for club members.  Everything at the stand is eligible, from tomatoes and corn to jams and bread.

There are two locations for your convenience:
*Route 219 just across the Wayne town line in Leeds called
  Levesque’s Farm Stand
*Route 202 in Winthrop called Stevenson Farm Stand
Shares are honored only at the stand you choose.  If you wish to pick up at both stands, you need to buy a share at each stand.

How does the Club save you money?
Along with specials, members receive a sign-on bonus.  The
family share costs $250 with a 6% bonus and the single share
costs $125 with a 4% bonus just for signing up!

When are we open?
We plan to open in mid June and run into mid September at Levesque’s Farm Stand (Leeds) and into late October at Stevenson’s Farm Stand (Winthrop).  We are open 7 days a week through the season.

How do you use your Veggie Club Membership?
At the stand you choose, we will have a running tab for you.  Come in, shop, and at checkout time your bill is deducted from your balance and you’re on your way.  Unfortunately, you can only use your membership at one stand and any remaining balance at the end of the season will not be reimbursed.  You are able to add to your veggie club balance in $20 increments if you run out before the end of the season.

Thank you for your interest in our farm!
